My friend Adam judged our day in Eldo (and at Southern Sun and Neptune) yesterday as scoring very high on the fun-per-feet-climbed scale.
We did one 50-foot pitch. That’s it.
His version of the story is here. To summarize: pancake, climb, epic gear retrieval, religious revelation resulting from epic gear retrieval, donut, beer, laughter.
For me, the day was a perfect example of climbing being about companionship, not climbing.

Love it! That sounds like our style of climbing too, add to that in the beginning and end hours of road trip to and from destination.
