REI Boulder has two interesting clinics coming up.
First: Canyoneering. Tonight at 7. I have been terrified of canyoneering ever since my friend Dianne gave a slideshow on the topic. She showed some anchors they rappelled on. One of them was a pile of sand with a deadman in the middle.
Dianne said: “That sand is bomber!”
I shit you not. She really said that. Since then, I have turned down enough canyoneering invites that my gal pals have stopped asking.
Next clinic: Climbing ropes. Monday at 7. Sounds like an awesome opportunity to gear-geek out. (I know you love that stuff!)
