It’s gonna snow on the Front Range.
Any minute now.
I consulted with Joel Gratz (as I often do when it comes to snow) to see whether tomorrow will be a worthwhile powder day anywhere, and Joel says to hit Eldora first thing tomorrow morning — he’s predicting 5 to 10 inches there. West of the Divide, it’ll be hit or miss, he says (could the central mountains get skunked any more this year?!?), but the Front Range should have good skiing in the morning.
Friendly reminder: If you decide to go on dawn patrol in the Indian Peaks or RMNP, check the Colorado Avalanche Information Center’s site in the morning before you leave. They’ve already posted a warning about high avy danger through noon tomorrow.
